Priority option

Priority supplement: delivery within 48 business hours

The third party gives you a short deadline? The priority supplement is added to the price of your certificate (straightforward, standard or complex file): it does not replace it. • A supplement added to the price of the chosen certificate
  • Priority handling of your file
  • Delivery within 48 business hours of receiving the complete documents

Pay for your certificate first (straightforward, standard or complex), then add this supplement if your deadline requires it.

The framework

A factual statement, not an audit certification

The chartered accountant's certificate is a work of factual verification: the firm checks elements against conclusive supporting documents, then certifies what those documents allow it to establish. The document is issued on the firm's letterhead and signed.

What it is

  • A factual statement based on verifiable elements
  • A signed document on the firm's letterhead
  • Work conducted under the professional rules of the French institute

What it is not

  • A certification of the accounts: a certificate is not an audit
  • A guarantee of the third party's decision (bank, landlord, institution)
  • A document the firm would sign without supporting evidence

Your journey

How it works, step by step

1

Pick your tier and pay online

Secure card payment through Stripe. You immediately receive a confirmation, then the list of documents to send.

2

We request your documents

Within 24 to 48 business hours, the firm contacts you by email: a document list adapted to your file, two questions about the format the third party expects, and the engagement letter.

3

We prepare the certificate

Verification of the documents, cross-checks as required by the tier, careful drafting of the factual statement. We contact you if anything is missing.

4

You receive the signed document

Certificate on the firm's letterhead, signed by the chartered accountant, together with the firm's invoice.

Transparency

The documents usually requested

The exact list depends on your file and on what the third party requires: you receive it right after payment. Here is what is usually requested.

For a straightforward file

  • Latest tax notice and the matching tax return
  • Registration document (Kbis extract or equivalent)
  • Valid identity document
  • Where relevant, the immediately conclusive documents supporting the statement

For a standard file

  • Latest tax notice and the matching tax return
  • Bank statements for the period (business and personal accounts)
  • The entity's accounts and proof of the amounts paid to the director
  • Registration document (Kbis extract or equivalent)
  • Valid identity document
  • Where relevant, invoices or contracts underlying the income

For a complex file

  • The standard-file documents, over the whole period
  • Statements for every bank account involved
  • Documents of the foreign structure (accounts, registration)
  • Evidence of foreign-currency income and the exchange rates applied

Two questions to prepare your answer to

To issue a document the third party can use directly, we ask you two questions from the start:

  1. 1Which format does the third party require: a form to countersign or a certificate on plain letterhead, monthly net or annual gross?
  2. 2Which other resources does the third party take into account in its analysis?

Frequently asked questions

How much does a chartered accountant's certificate cost?

Chartered accountants' fees are not regulated: no official schedule sets the price of a certificate. On this page the price depends on the documents to be cross-checked: 350 € excl. VAT where the items are directly verifiable, 550 € excl. VAT where the bookkeeping is handled by another firm and the documents have to be cross-checked, 750 € excl. VAT for an extended review (foreign structure, income in foreign currency, long period). The rush supplement, at 300 € excl. VAT, is added to the tier you choose and does not replace it.

What is the difference between a certificate and a certification of the accounts?

The certificate is a work of factual verification: the chartered accountant checks elements against conclusive supporting documents and certifies what they allow him to establish. The certification of the accounts is an audit engagement, reserved to statutory auditors, expressing an opinion on the annual accounts as a whole. A certificate is not a certification, and it does not guarantee the decision of the third party requesting it.

How soon will I receive my certificate?

After payment, the firm requests your documents within 24 to 48 business hours. The preparation time then depends on the completeness of the documents and on the chosen tier. If the third party gives you a short deadline, the priority supplement triggers priority handling, with delivery within 48 business hours of receiving the complete documents.

What happens if my documents do not allow you to certify?

We tell you. A chartered accountant does not sign a certificate he cannot substantiate: if the documents you send do not allow us to establish the requested statement, we explain why and indicate, where possible, the elements that would allow it. If no work has been started, the payment is refunded in full.

My bookkeeping is handled by another firm: can you certify?

Yes. That is precisely the standard file: the firm cross-checks the documents you send (payslips, bank statements, contracts, accounts prepared by your accountant) before certifying. Your bookkeeping does not need to be handled by us.

Is the certificate's format accepted by banks?

The certificate is issued on the firm's letterhead and signed by a chartered accountant registered with the French institute, which is what banks and institutions generally require. If the third party imposes its own form, we countersign it as long as the documents allow it: tell us from the start, it is one of the two questions we ask you.

Does the certificate guarantee that my loan or tenancy will be approved?

No. The certificate establishes a factual statement on verified elements; the decision to grant a loan, a tenancy or an approval belongs solely to the third party requesting it, based on its own criteria. We remain at your disposal for any question about the scope of the document.

What happens right after payment?

Stripe sends you an immediate confirmation and the confirmation page sets out the documents to gather. You email them to Samuel@hayot-expertise.fr; within 24 to 48 business hours the firm comes back to you with the exact list tailored to your file, the two questions about the format the third party expects, and its engagement letter.

Do my documents stay confidential?

Yes. Your documents and your exchanges with the firm are covered by the chartered accountant's professional secrecy. The certificate is delivered to you alone: you pass it on to the third party, unless you expressly ask us to do so.
